Annual General Meeting - 15 November 2008

The Annual General Meeting was held at he Union Jack Club in London on November 15th 2008. More than 60 members and guests attended.

The business of the meeting was conducted in the morning and after a break for lunch we viewed the DVD of the visit to Malta and Libya which was filmed by John Mizzi in Malta.

Special guests for the afternoon events were:-
Captain Mark Beverstock (Captain Clyde Naval Base, the current HMS Neptune) who talked about the Clyde Naval Base.

Professor Eric Grove ( Military Historian, Salford University) then spoke about the historical context of the actions involving HMS Neptune, leading up to the sinking.
Mr Rob White (Senior Science and Medical Producer, ITN) then introduced the interview he had with Norman Walton at the inaugural meeting of the Neptune Association

The launch of 'Sole Survivor - One Man's Journey', Norma Hudson's biography of her father, Norman Walton, was also held during the afternoon.
