Obituary - Alex Whyte - June 2010

It is with great regret that we announce the death of Alex Whyte, who has been a member of the Neptune Association since its inception in 2002.  He has regularly attended members' meetings at various venues.  He was the nephew of Leading Steward Hugh Whyte who lost his life on HMS Neptune on December 19th 1941.  Alex served in the Royal Navy for over 10 years as a Leading Steward - like his uncle.
