Cliff carved it from Bog Oak - very old wood dug from a peat bog. The 3 cornered granite base was chosen with great care from hundreds of granite chips and the slope represents the hill outside Jerusalem. The supporting rod is made of stainless steel to cleanly separate the cross from its base.
