Annual General Meeting - 28 October 2006

The Members' Meeting and the AGM was held at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire, on Saturday, October 28th, 2006.

The official proceedings began with a Memorial Service at 11.30 in the Chapel at the National Memorial Arboretum and was followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Neptune and Kandahar Memorial.

The Annual General Meeting and Members' Meeting were held after lunch. Sixty members attended.

After the formalities of the AGM were over, Frank Brown and Harry Bradbear recounted their personal experiences whilst on the Neptune Association visit to Faslane in May. They outlined the events which had been put on for us and they had obviously had a very good time.

Michael Knowles from Remembrance Travel, the company arranging the visit to Malta and Tripoli, had been invited to the meeting to talk about the details of the forthcoming visit, and to answer any questions we might have. His input was invaluable as he explained the finer points of planning such a complex venture.
